About Lone Star
Lone Star Championships is a social event, party weekend, that will knock your socks off! Our goal is to create an event that
we've always wanted to attend: one where social dancing all night, inspired competition, and amazing workshops are the norm!
This year's instructors and judges will blow you away!
Our instructors this year include Nina Gilkenson, Carla Heiney, Mike Faltesek, and Mikey Pedroza! Check out their
bios, pics, and videos! All of the instructors and judges we are bringing in are amazing social dancers and
competitors who are nice, on and off the dance floor.
Lone Star Championships is a social event.
There will be over 20 hours of social dancing and all of the competitions are
social dance competitions - Jack and Jills and Strictlys only. We believe that competitions bring us together to push
and inspire each other to grow as dancers and as a community, as well as bring us together to support and cheer for each other. That's why we
are running this event.
Everyone has a place to compete.
We are committed to creating a space for all levels of lindy hoppers to perform and compete against like-leveled dancers - from
newcomers that have never competed all the way up to the top competitors in the country. That's why at Lone Star this year we have 4 levels of
Jack and Jills: Newcomer, Intermediate, Advanced, and All-Star!
We believe that competitions bring us together to push and inspire each other to grow as dancers and as a community, as well as
bring us together to support and cheer for each other. So all of the competitions at Lone Star are fun and friendly - and for all
level dancers to compete with like-competitors.

About Us
Tena, Scott, and Don have been actively growing the Texas scenes for over 10 years each. Tena in Houston, Scott in Austin, and
Don in Dallas.
